What do San Ysidro homeowners ask about filter service?
How often should I clean my pool filter in San Ysidro?
Cartridges: every 3-6 months. DE: every 3-6 months plus annual teardown. Sand: backwash every 4-6 weeks, full media change every 5 years.
Is cartridge or DE better for my San Ysidro pool?
DE catches finer particles, so water is crystal clearer. Cartridge is easier to maintain and doesn't require DE powder. Most newer pools are cartridge. Older pools often have DE or sand.
My San Ysidro pool filter pressure keeps rising fast. What's wrong?
Usually debris overload or scale. In San Ysidro's hard water, calcium can embed in cartridge pleats. Acid wash or replacement is the fix.
