What does green pool recovery & algae treatment include in Potrero?
Green pools in inland Potrero often come with extra complications, hard water interacting with sanitizer levels, high stabilizer (CYA) making chlorine ineffective, and phosphate overload feeding algae despite shock treatments. The root cause has to be diagnosed and treated, not just dosed with chemicals. Potrero water comes from Wells dominant at 14-18 gpg (very hard). The usual local condition is rural border-zone pools on well water with bilingual service requirements. Neighborhoods in the city record include Potrero community proper, SR-94 border zone.

What do Potrero homeowners ask about green pool recovery?
How fast can you clear a green pool in Potrero?
Most light-to-medium green Potrero pools are swimmable in 24 to 48 hours. Severe swamps with black algae or heavy organic debris can take 3 to 5 days. The pro sizes it up before starting.
Can I just shock my green Potrero pool myself?
You can, but it usually doesn't finish the job. Shock without consistent filtration, brushing, and follow-up chemistry reblooms within a week. The whole protocol matters, not just the chemical dump.
Do I need to drain my green pool in Potrero?
Almost never. Even heavily green pools recover with chemical treatment and filtration. Draining is a last resort when stabilizer (CYA) is way too high or physical debris is beyond filtration.
